In this new era of technological saavy many new opportunities are available to us in the fashion that we wear. Our clothes can light up the night, create their own melodies, network with one another, react to their environment, and even act upon their environment. What we wear speaks to who we are, comments on how we see the world, and responds to our modern society.
This class will get your foot in the door to creating your own high tech fashion. Each class will range in topics from lasercut cloth, leather and jewelry, to EL wire and panels, embeddable sensors, lilypad arduino programming, and high level wearable technology. Students will walk away with their own piece of high tech fashion based upon the project of the day, projects dependent on skill level and interests of the students.
